LOGAN, Utah (KRON) — One mother gets an “A” for effort, but she really did take a wrong turn.
A mom decided she would surprise her 18-year-old old daughter at Utah State University. She was going to help her clean up her dorm room after freshman year.
So the mom, Deanna Pilling, went into what she thought was her daughter’s room. She plopped down on the bed, waited five minutes, and took a selfie, which she texted to her daughter, saying, “Look where i am! Surprise! Where are you?”
The daughter, McKenna, said she immediately realized that mom missed the mark.
“She just waited there for five minutes and decided to send me a funny picture and it ended up not being my dorm… I just immediately started laughing,” McKenna said.
It was on a different floor! The mom said she was mortified, but now, both are laughing about it.
McKenna tweeted a screenshot of her mom’s selfie fail, and since the weekend, it’s been retweeted more than 15,000 times and favorited more than 32,000 times.
