SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A mob of nine people robbed a man at gunpoint at San Francisco’s Coit Tower on Tuesday morning, police said.

The victim told police he was held up on Telegraph Hill at about 2 a.m. He says one suspect pulled out a gun, cocked it, and pointed it at him while eight others searched his pockets.

The group of suspects made off with two cell phones before running away. Authorities were able to track down and arrest one of the robbers. He was found with the stolen property and a hand gun.

Police want to remind tourists and residents to keep an eye on their valuables during the holiday season.

Do not leave them in public places or visible in a car, police said.
