SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — United States Marines and a few members of the Blue Angels flight team entertained sick kids at UCSF’s Children’s Hospital.
Appropriately, the servicemen and women played the game Battleship with some the kids.
There were also a few bouts of Rock’em Sock’em Robots, remote-controlled racing, and some just were read to.
The kids at this hospital are being treated for a variety different illnesses, including cancer.
The manager of child life services at the hospital says it helps the patients take their minds off what’s ailing them.
Those in uniform said their goal was to put some smiles on these kids’ faces.
If so, mission accomplished.
