HAYWARD (KRON) — A man was injured after he was shot during a robbery in Hayward Tuesday night, police said.
Hayward police were dispatched to 1985 Florida Street at 11:45 p.m., according to authorities.
A husband and wife were walking when a man approached them and pointed a gun at them.
The suspect demanded their cell phones and other belonging which the couple handed over.
The suspect then shot the husband in the torso and fled the scene in a large candy apple red SUV with gold rims, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as being a black male adult, early 40’s, medium complexion, tall and thin and wearing a multi-colored jacket.
