CONCORD (KRON) — Lots of drivers found themselves stranded after they went over a big pothole on an East Bay freeway.

It was a dangerous situation. The pothole damaged tires on Highway 242 Monday morning in Concord.

The damage happened at around 10 p.m. near the Grant Street exit. Caltrans officials have covered the pothole that disabled the cars, and they remained busy throughout Monday morning, covering other holes on the freeway.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
