LAFAYETTE (KRON) — Lafayette police are investigating a suspicious death of a 66-year-old woman who was found dead in her home on Wednesday night, according to police.
Police said after a family member was not able to contact the woman for days, police responded to the home at around 7:32 p.m. Wednesday for a welfare check.
Officers found the woman dead in the home. Police are now investigating this as a suspicious death.
The home is located on the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue.
Her identity was not released and no further details were provided.
