SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The right-to-die bill did not move forward in the state legislature.

Lawmakers abandoned efforts to enact the “end of life option.” The legislation was inspired by the story of Brittany Maynard.

Brittany was the 29-year-old who moved from the East Bay to Oregon to end her life after being diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor.

On Wednesday, her husband spoke with Justine Waldman about where he goes from here. He said she misses his wife and talks about the defeat of the right-to-die bill in Sacramento.
