DAVIE, Florida (KRON) — Authorities in South Florida are searching for the person who shot an arrow that struck a woman in the thigh while she was gardening.
The 66-year-old says she stood up and heard a loud pop. That is when she felt a searing pain in her leg.
She says she pulled out the arrow without thinking and screamed. Her husband called 911.
Police are trying to figure out where the arrow came from.
“It was so close to killing me. I could have died,” said the woman, who did not want to be identified.
It appears to have also pierced a nearby shed.
The incident is under investigation.
