HIALEAH, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida police officer rescued a large pink flamingo Sunday. The flamingo was running through traffic when the officer chased it “in an effort to prevent a traffic accident or any harm to the flamingo,” police said.
This happened in the Florida city of Hialeah.
Officer J. Romero, with help from Sgt. M. Espinoza, captured the bird using a traffic jacket.
Romero took the flamingo to the Hialeah Park Casino sanctuary area. It is in good health, police said.
