VIDEO: Fleet Week wraps up in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)—It was a glorious time during Fleet Week 2016. Monday marked the last day of the annual event.

KRON4’s Terisa Estacio took in some of Monday’s final fun events as well as a look back at that great show on Saturday.


Bands battling it out and the impressive U.S.S. San Francisco pulling up.

Lucky visitors were checking things out.

It was quite the day as Fleet Week 2016 went out with a bang.

First up, a submarine as two bargs brought it safely through the morning fog and right up to Pier 80.

Then later in the day, it was time for the annual battle of the bands with proud parents watching.

The grand prize of 8 high school bands competing against one another for a trophy and a big cash prize to benefit their school music program.

There was a tour of the U.S.S. San Diego, the largest ship attending Fleet Week.

Of course, the amazing show from this past weekend, that everyone is still talking about.

KRON4 brought you the sensational show highlighting the blue angels and their right stuff.

And while Fleet Week 2016 is now in the history books, fans say the memories are fresh and will be remembered vividly for quite some time.
