VALLEJO (KRON) – The man suspected of starting a fire in a Vallejo home that killed his 5-year-old son has turned himself in on Wednesday.
Darrylone Shuemake, a 53-year-old Vallejo resident, turned himself into Richmond police.

Police have been searching for Shuemake since the fire that broke out on Sunday at a residence at 827 Stella St.
Neighbors told KRON4’s Terisa Estacio that they saw Shuemake outside of the home recently sobbing uncontrollably. When the neighbors tried to confront him, then drove off.
Two others were injured in the fire, the mother of the 5-year-old and her other teenage son.

The mother and her teenage son were able to escape but both suffered burns.
The 5-year-old boy was trapped inside the home and perished in the fire.
Shuemake is expected to be charged with murder, attempted murder, and arson, police said. He is being held without bail.
