FAIRFIELD (BCN) — A teenage boy was killed and another teen was arrested for his shooting death Sunday evening in Fairfield, police said.
The suspect and victim, both 16, knew each other and had an argument before the slaying around 8 p.m. in the 2700 block of North Texas Street, police said.
Officers found the slain teen in a parking lot. He was taken to a trauma center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The suspect was taken into custody around 5:10 a.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Bristol Lane, police said.
Police Lt. Rob Lenke said more information about the case might be released Monday afternoon.
