SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY (KRON) — A massive sinkhole has shut down all lanes of northbound Interstate 5 in San Joaquin County on Tuesday.

Crews were making repairs to the road on Tuesday morning when they discovered a sinkhole about 1 foot in diameter.

By the evening, the sinkhole has grown and stretches across one lane, half of another lane, and some of the shoulder.
