LOS ANGELES (KRON) — A high-speed pursuit in eastern San Fernando Valley just ended in a car crash.

The chase began at around 3 p.m. when a stolen Chevy Volt left a strip mall.

The sedan swerved through traffic nearly hitting several other cars.

It ended nearly 40 minutes later when the vehicle pulled into a fenced parking lot and rammed a police car.

The suspect would not leave the car, forcing officers to bash in the windows and drag the man out.

Officers handcuffed the suspect and sat him on a curb.

No other details are known at this time.
