An estimated 40,000 people celebrated the 4th of July at the annual parade in Danville.
The Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley organized the annual parade in partnership with the Town of Danville since 1975.
People were already lining up their lawn chairs along the parade route at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The parade went from the north end of town near San Ramon Valley High School and traveled south along Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard for about one mile, befire ending at Sycamore Valley Rd.
