UPDATE: Crash cleared – Plan ahead for residual delays

—————————————————————————————-

A crash on the San Mateo Bridge may heavily impact your Monday morning commute.

The accident was reported around 5:15 a.m. on westbound 92 on the flat section before the high rise.

Traffic is crawling across the bridge, which is a popular route for those commuting from Hayward to San Mateo. Right now it will take 42 minutes to cross the bridge, a drive that should take no longer than 15 minutes.

KRON4’s Robin Winston suggests avoiding the San Mateo Bridge altogether.

She says you can use westbound 84 (the Dumbarton Bridge) to get around the hot spot.

This will connect you from Fremont to Menlo Park.

No injuries have been reported.

There is no estimated time for when the crash will be cleared.

Stay with KRON4 for updates.
