DANVILLE (KRON) — Wildlife Emergency Services is responding to a trail of coyote that’s suffering from a severe case of mange in Danville.
Mange is a skin disease that’s caused by mites.
The coyote has been spotted in the Danville area often.
Residents have said they are more concerned about the animal than anything. They have also spotted the coyote for the past year.
Wildlife Emergency Services says the coyote is not a risk to people but they must leave him alone.
Wildlife Emergency Services had no success capturing the coyote this past weekend and will attempt to look for him again this week. They will take him to the Bay Area wildlife hospitals.
Residents can report a sighting to the Danville Police.
