STAFFORD, Virginia (KRON) — A broadcast mistake during Monday Night’s presidential debate led to thousands of unwanted text messages to a Virginia woman’s cell phone.

C-Span accidentally plastered her number on their screen during Monday’s debate.

They were asking people to comment on the event.

The debate was the most-watched in history with more than 80 million viewers.

The woman has already received more than 13,000 texts and 600 calls.

“Honestly I thought my phone was broken or hacked,” Tripp Diaz said.

C-Span spokesperson Howard Mortman has apologized to her for the error.
