The massive fires burning across the state are already starting to put a strain on firefighting resources, and Cal Fire has called for help from across California–and neighboring states as well.
Crews from the Bay Area are helping out as well, including strike teams from Contra Costa County. This team is heading to Southern California to battle the Woolsey Fire near Malibu.
