HAYWARD (KRON) — BART unveiled their new and improved trains Wednesday that will be added to the commute system by fall 2016.

755 new trains will be added to various routes, according to BART officials.

The trains have sleek, clean look with new features like more room for bikes and for people to stand.

BART officials say the new trains are quieter, cooler and more comfortable.

A new cooling system was put in to distribute the air directly to the ceilings, making it more comfortable for people standing on hot days.

One of the most common complaints among BART riders is the about the smelly, old seats. The new cars come with padded seats cover with wipeable fabric that is easy to clean.

BART officials also said all the new cars are equipped with security cameras that actually work, unlike the nonfunctional cameras on the old trains.
