NAPA COUNTY (KRON) — The Atlas Fire raging in Napa and Solano counties is now 7 percent contained on Thursday night, Cal Fire said.

The fire has charred 43,762 acres, but crews are making progress on the fire.

The fire started off Atlas Peak Road, south of Lake Berryessa.

Here is the description of the conditions from Cal Fire:

The Southern LNU Complex is being managed in Unified Command by CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 3 and the Napa County Sheriff’s Department. Today firefighters continued to increase perimeter control lines and engage in structure defense. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for the region. This evening portions of the Silverado Country Club, Monticello Park, and The Avenues was opened back up to residents. At 8:00 AM this morning the Nuns, Norrbom, Adobe and Pressley fires were transitioned to Incident Management Team 1 and are now part of the Central LNU Complex, in Sonoma County.

Meanwhile, the Nuns Fire north of Glen Ellen in Sonoma County is now at 17,498 acres and 3 percent contained.
