SAN CARLOS (KRON) — An alleged child molester who worked as an after-school aid at a San Carlos elementary school was arrested again after a third victim came forward.

Hoang Tran was arrested at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday after a 6-year-old girl claimed she was also a victim of Tran, officials with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said.

19-year-old Tran had posted bail and was released following the original arrest made on Monday.

The investigation began in September after a 6-year-old girl said that Tran had inappropriately touched her during the after-school program at Brittan Acres Elementary School.

During the investigation, a second victim, a 6-year-old girl, also said she had been inappropriately touched by Tran sometime in the beginning of the school year.

After learning of the investigation, school officials immediately placed Tran on leave from his position.

Tran did not return to his job and was released as an employee of the San Carlos School District.

He is now being held on a $100,000 bail.

The Interim Superintendent at the San Carlos School District sent out an email to parents informing them of the arrests.
