LAKE COUNTY (KRON)—About 700 customers affected by the Clayton Fire in Lake County are still without power Wednesday afternoon, according to PG&E.

Many of them are without it because Cal Fire has asked PG&E to de-energize lines for fire safety.

PG&E said they are working to bring power back to those customers.

Crews have inspected 919 poles. About 78 of those poles need to be replaced and 68 spans need wiring replaced.

PG&E said its goal is to restore power to customers at the same time evacuation orders are lifted.
