BENICIA (KRON) — A 4-year-old boy has died and a 13-year-old boy is injured after a car hit them at the Benicia Senior Center Sunday afternoon, according to police.
The collision happened around 4:45 p.m. outside the facility on East L St., said spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Polizziani.
The boys were guests at a birthday party at the Senior Center.
A 12-year-old boy was the only one inside the car when it reversed and struck the two boys, Polizziani said.
The boys hit by the car were taken to the hospital where the 4-year-old was pronounced dead. The other boy is still in the hospital with minor injuries.
The 12-year-old boy inside the car at the time of the crash also had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
