SANTA CLARA (KRON) — Two men were stabbed at Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara Friday night, according to police.

At least three people have been arrested in the stabbing, police said. The stabbing happened inside the mall in front of Bath & Body Works at around 7:21 p.m., police said.

North Baywood Avenue is blocked off, and there is lots of police activity.

The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said. One victim was taken to the hospital, while the other was released at the scene.

The stabbing happened during an altercation between two groups of people, police said.

The suspects are described as “young males,” police said.

The motive is under investigation, and there are no outstanding suspects, police said.

The Westfield Valley Fair Mall released the statement —

There was incident at the center last night which is still under investigation. The mall is secure, safe and open for business. We are cooperating with local law enforcement and the safety of our customers and retailers is always our top priority.
