GILROY (KRON) — More child victims have come forward, accusing a former South Bay teacher of catfishing.

Two new lawsuits were filed on Wednesday against the Gilroy Unified School District.

One lawsuit was already filed by a mother whose child was allegedly a victim of a teacher’s sexual misconduct.

Twenty-five-year-old Douglas Le was arrested at his home back in April.

He is accused of posing as a young girl on social media and asking hundreds of minors to send him sexually explicit photos. Le worked as a science teacher at Gilroy High School.

Attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference at the school district earlier Wednesday.

“We allege that GUSD failed to protect and safeguard our clients from the sexual misconduct against them by Mr. Le,” Allred said, “even though GUSD knew that Mr. Le had previously engaged in unlawful sexually-related conduct with minors at Gilroy High School.”

The school district said the teacher had passed a background check when he was hired.

The district said it is working to keep all students safe.
