SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)– Fire crews tackled a 3-alarm fire at an apartment building on Wednesday afternoon in South San Francisco.

The fire happened around 4:55 p.m. at 610 Olive Avenue, according to fire officials.

Crews were able to knock down the blazes.

No one was injured but three of the eight units in the apartment complex were damaged.

San Mateo County and the American Red Cross are assisting residents who lost their homes in the fire.

Fire officials are investigating what caused the fire.
