LONG BEACH ISLAND, New Jersey (KRON) — A New Jersey father and son decided to go on a fishing trip together, hoping to catch something–and they sure did.
What happened next for Joe and Gianni Mandle means they will have a great story to tell for years to come.
When they took a trip to the Jersey Shore, they were just expecting to catch some fish. But 13-year-old Gianni made the catch of a lifetime.
After wrestling the line for quite some time, Gianni reeled in a 200-pound shark.
Cameras on the beach were quick to start rolling.
His dad managed to wrangle the shark onto the beach, so they could remove the hook and release it back into the ocean.
But not before the father and son could snap a quick family photo.
