SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A tree limb fell on a woman in a San Francisco park Friday late afternoon.

According to San Francisco police, they were dispatched around 3:19 p.m. to the area of Columbus Avenue and Filbert Street near Washington Square Park in San Francisco’s North Beach District.

Crews said, a tree limb that weighs close to 100 pounds, fell nearly 50 feet in the air hitting the woman.

According to police, the woman who was walking with her children both 5 and 6-years-old is in serious condition.

Crews are on the scene, and the children have been reunited with their father.

The woman is recovering at San Francisco General Hospital.
