CONCORD (KRON)—One person has been injured in a shooting Sunday night outside a Concord movie theater, according to police.

It happened outside Brenden Theatres on Willow Pass Road around 6:48 p.m.

Every responding officer was called to the scene.

The shooting happened between the parking structure and the theater.

Employees went on lockdown as movie goers ran out from both front and back exits.

We don’t know if the suspect was a customer at the theater or if he snuck in.

The suspect threatened the security guard saying he had a gun and would shoot him.

Some type of disturbance started inside the theater.

The guard shot the man multiple times outside the theater and possibly struck the suspect in the lower leg, according to police.

The suspect is in a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
