One person is dead after a plane crash Friday night in Petaluma, according to Sonoma County Fire Department.
A Cessna plane was scheduled to arrive at the Petaluma Muni Airport at 5:00 p.m., but never arrived.
Around 10:11 p.m. a deputy discovered smoldering debris from the plane in the area of 3620 Manor Ln.
This is just east of the airport.
There is no information about how the plane crashed or how many people were on-board.
Officials did not say if weather was a factor.
The victim has not been identified.
