An elementary school in Oakland was found to be severely vandalized on Tuesday, according to the Oakland Unified School District.
Officials say Manzanita Community School had paint all over walls, windows were destroyed, and laptops and toilets were smashed.
The damages caused are worth thousands of dollars.
The school was on Spring Break for the past week and Tuesday was their first day back.
The school district has its own police force who are currently investigating the incident.
Officials say they are unsure when this happened and who is responsible, as there are no security cameras on campus.
Some of the paint was still wet leading officials to believe it could have happened recently.
Clean up is underway at the elementary school.
If you have any information on the vandalism, you are asked to contact the school district, district police, or Oakland Police Department.
