CALISTOGA (KRON) — The rain continues to fall in the North Bay, and as KRON4’s J.R. Stone shows, it has most of the evacuees feeling “optimistic” about the effort to put the fire out.
It has been raining all day at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga. Most of the evacuees have placed tarps over the tents to stay dry.
But despite the uncomfortable conditions, they are happy that the rain will help put out the Valley Fire.
The Valley Fire has now charred over 70,000 acres and is 35 percent contained Wednesday night.
