MIDDLETOWN (KRON) — Several insurance companies have set up an insurance village in Middletown for those who lost their homes in the Valley Fire.

It is located near the Twin Pine Casino. There, homeowners can submit claims.

A USSA insurance agent said, based on individual insurance policies, they can help customers find temporary housing. They will also provide advances for people, so they can immediately begin replacing items.

The company has already made several full payments on homes.

The Valley Fire is now 70 percent contained. Over 1,000 homes have been destroyed in the fire.
