VALLEJO (BCN) — Police arrested a 30-year-old man Sunday afternoon in Vallejo on
suspicion of stealing a car after he allegedly took it for a ride, police
said.
Around 2 p.m., officers responded to 597 Sandy Beach Road on a
report of a stolen car, Vallejo police Lt. Kevin Bartlett said.
The address is the location of a Motel 6, according to the
company’s website.
Bartlett said the suspect, identified as James Lambnett, watched a
Honda sedan for a while and then broke into the car.
Bartlett said he did know Lambnett’s city of residence.
Lambnett was able to drive the car around for a while before
police stopped him, Bartlett said.
Officers found burglarious tools on Lambnett along with narcotics
paraphernalia, Bartlett said.
Police arrested Lambnett and booked him in jail, Bartlett said.
