VALLEJO (KRON)—Vallejo police report an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Wednesday night.

Officers tried pulling over an Audi SUV near Laurel and Alhambra Streets after 11 p.m.

The driver then led officers on a pursuit when he refused to pull over.

The man violated a number of traffic laws while driving through residential areas, police said.

He eventually drove into a cul de sac and accelerated the SUV towards police.

Officers then discharged their firearms because they feared for their lives, according to police.

The suspect’s car crashed into a parked car and then a patrol car.

The driver has been identified by police as Marcus Anigilaje, 36, of Oakland.

Anigilaje was booked into the Solano County Jail for felony violation of probation, felony avoiding arrest and assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers found another man was in the car with Anigilaje who has been identified as Troy Collins, 32, of Rodeo.

Collins was arrested for possessing a firearm in public, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, and ex-felon in possession of ammunition. He was also booked into the Solano County Jail.
