VALLEJO (KRON) — A building fire in Vallejo Tuesday morning forced fire crews to knock down part of a structure to reach the flames.
The fire destroyed a shed and a carport, fire spokesman Anthony Shair-Ali said. The main portion of the structure sustained minimal exterior damage but the rest of the structure was a total loss.
The building is located near the intersection of Wallace Avenue and Lincoln Road West near Interstate 80.

Firefighters responded to the 2-alarm at fire around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning. There were downed power lines in the area.
Firefighters are unsure what was in the shed and carport, Shair-Ali said. Damage caused by the fire, which appears to have started in a corner outside the shed, is estimated at $60,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but it might have been started accidentally by a cigarette, Shair-Ali said. Trees near the structure also caught fire.
No injuries were reported in the fire.Bay City News contributed to this report.
