VACAVILLE (KRON) — A Vacaville woman is facing 66 years in prison for having sex with a 10-year-old relative and continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.

Michelle Souza, 42, was convicted of the felony charges Tuesday in Solano County Superior Court, District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Monica Martinez said.

Souza forced the child to have sex with her starting in December 2013 until the child was 11 years old, Martinez said.

The sexual abuse stopped when the child’s father found text messages about it on his phone and called police.
