VACAVILLE (KRON)—Vacaville police arrested three people connected to human trafficking on Friday night.
Jonathan Lewis, 32, Tesheya Bird, 22, and Todd Thornton, 23, were arrested in a sting operation conducted by the department’s VICE Unit.
A 17-year-old human trafficking victim was rescued by police.
The unit recruited a master social worker to help in the operation.
The master social worker helps victims of human trafficking find services available to them.
The VICE Unit also worked with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
Jonathan Lewis of Oakland was arrested for pandering and violation of Post Release Community Supervision.
Tesheya Bird of Sacramento was arrested for pandering and conspiracy.
Todd Thornton of Sacramento was arrested for human trafficking, pimping of a minor, and pandering of a minor.
