A mobile home park in Vacaville is without power on Monday night and residents there say it’s been that way for nearly four days now.

They say the owner of the development is doing nothing to help them.

With temperatures in the near triple digits, KRON4’s Michelle Kingston says people who live there are hot and have had enough.

“It’s 94 degrees in my house right now and we can’t cook,” Vacaville resident Glenda Biondi said.

“Lost all my food,” Ben Maria added. “My animals are suffering.”

The buzz around the Vacaville mobile home park is the sound of generators, which some people have been running at their trailers since Friday when the neighborhood lost power.

“No one has come door to door,” Biondi said. “No one has checked on anyone. No one is making sure that all the residents in the park are OK.”

People there are obviously very upset to not have power during these very warm summer days, but they say the way the office is handling it is making it that much worse. So, KRON4 stopped by to see if they would answer when we knocked on the door, but nobody was inside.

There was just a note on the window that says there is no information on the power problem yet.

“It’s the middle of summer. August. We need power,” resident Kevin Quaintance said.

KRON4 reached out to PG&E on Monday. It tells KRON4 the El Matador Mobile Home Park is on a master meter, owned by the person who runs the park.

PG&E says the park had an issue on their end but didn’t ask for a disconnect until today–four days after residents lost power.

Because KRON4 was unable to reach the owner of the park, KRON4 is not sure what the issue was exactly.

But people are hot and irritated by how the staff is handling the situation.

“They said there’s no compensation for motel, anything, generators,” Maria said.

“Seems like a lawsuit’s pending,” Quaintance added.
