SALT LAKE CITY (KRON) — Imagine coming home from a trip, unpacking your bag, and finding a weapon inside.
That’s what happened to one Utah woman.
Melinda Ollerton said when she opened her bag, she found a yellow box cutter in her folded clothes.
She says it was actually open too.
Ollerton had taken a Delta flight from Long Beach to Salt Lake City.
She believes it somehow got in her bag after she checked it.
The TSA said very few checked bags are ever opened.
And if they are, a note is left to let you know.
However, as many as eight to 10 airport workers could handle the bag by the time it reaches its destination.
Still, how the box cutter ended up in her bag remains a mystery.
