The death of an 84-year-old Penngrove woman is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff. The victim’s missing car has been found this evening, said Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office investigators, but no arrests have been made.
Authorities had asked the public to report any sightings of the victim’s missing red 1995 Lexus SC400 in relation to the Thursday morning incident.
Thursday morning at 11:52 a.m., the Sonoma County Sheriffs’ Office dispatch received a call from a man regarding a person in a residence where he reported blood was visible.
Deputies and medical personnel responded to the 900 block of Rose Ave. in Penngrove. Inside the home, they found an elderly woman deceased in a chair. The house was in complete disarray, according to the deputies, causing the case to be investigated as a homicide.
The woman found deceased within the home is identified as Olga Mary Dinelli, an 84 year old, according to the Sheriff’s Office. She lived at that residence for the past several decades with her brother, Larry, who was not at home when the crime occurred.
