ANTIOCH (KRON) — A two-alarm fire at a home in Antioch displaced three people, including one man who was injured during the blaze.

Firefighters were called to the home in the 4000 block of Bole Court at about 11:15 a.m. A short time later, arriving crews called for a second alarm and firefighters went into “rescue mode,” according Fire Marshal Robert Marshall.

Officials said initially there were concerns someone may have been trapped in the single family home, but a search of the house confirmed there were no people or pets inside.

A resident of the home suffered moderate injuries after he tried to smash a window to get inside the burning house, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Capt. George Laing said. Investigators say it’s unclear why the man attempted to get into the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it appears it started on the second floor, where there was extensive fire damage Laing said.

Two adults and a juvenile were displaced by the blaze, according to fire officials.
