An unusual clue could be the key piece of evidence that solves a multi-county crime spree in Ohio.
Detectives say bird droppings could crack the case and land two burglars behind bars.
Surveillance video shows two masked men inside a fraternal organization where they stole more than $8,000.
The getaway car is a 2018 Chevy Silverado with bird droppings on it.
That bird poop would prove to be a good clue.
“Anything and everything, you use to make an identification,” Medina County Sheriff’s Department Det. Jim Cartwright said. “It’s probably the strangest one I’ve had to date though.”
“That would be really something else if that solved the case,” Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2117 Trustee Ken Myers added. “We got pictures of the truck, but we couldn’t the license number. It was way too blurry.”
Investigators believe the duo may have struck at least 15 times over eight years.
Detectives say they are building cases against the two suspects–and say criminal charges could happen in the coming weeks.
