University now offering course on ‘angry white males’

The University of Kansas is now offering a course called “Angry White Male Studies” for the fall 2019 semester.

According to the course description, the class offered under the university’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will “chart the rise of the ‘angry white male’ in America and Britain since the 1950s.”

What exactly will you learn in this three-credit course?

“Employing interdisciplinary perspectives this course examines how both dominant and subordinate masculinities are represented and experienced in cultures undergoing periods of rapid change connected to modernity as well as to rights-based movements of women, people of color, homosexuals and trans individuals,” the description states.

The course is listed under both the Humanities and the Women’s Gender and Sexuality departments at the university.

The course requires students take “Women, Gender, and Sexuality” 101 or 102 as a prerequisite.

They can also get written permission from the course’s instructor, Christopher Forth, KCTV News reports.
