United Airlines LA bound flight makes emergency landing

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KRON) — A United Airlines flight from Denver to Los Angeles made an emergency landing at Grand Junction Regional Airport in Colorado on Wednesday morning.

Fire crews evacuated United flight 447 after landing. A passenger aboard the flight posted a photo on Twitter of himself and other passengers wearing oxygen masks. He said there was a loss of oxygen in the cabin.


One person was reportedly taken to the hospital for evaluation.

It’s unclear what led to the problem. Emergency officials said firefighters were testing gas levels in the aircraft.

Flight 447 took off from Denver International Airport at 8:25 a.m and was divered to Grand Junction, landing there at about 9:27 a.m. according to FlightAware.

Passengers say they’ve been told United is sending another plane to Grand Junction to take the passengers to Los Angeles this afternoon.
