FAIRFIELD (KRON) — Firefighters in Fairfield found a man while they were fighting a fire in north Fairfield Wednesday morning.
The fire behind Chaparral Court was first reported around 10 a.m.
When firefighters got to the hillside, the fire was moving slowly downhill, but they were able to keep the fire to just one acre.
The man was unconscious when firefighters found him on the hill.
After moving him down the hill and into an ambulance, the man was taken to the hospital.
The Fire Department said that he appears to be in serious condition.
