BERKELEY (KRON) — UC Berkeley police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that happened on Wednesday night.
Police said it happened at around 8:12 p.m. on the north side of campus in the grove area west of Haviland Hall. Three women, all students, were walking down a path when two suspects wearing masks appeared, police said.
One of them showed a gun and demanded the victims’ property. Another suspect also displayed a gun.
The suspects did not take anything and ran away in a westbound direction.
The victims were not hurt.
Police did not find any suspects.
The first suspect is described as being a black man, 21 years od, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build, clean shaven, and wearing all black clothes with white edges around his sleeves.
The second suspect is described as an East Indian man, about 19 to 21 years old, with a thick build, glasses, goatee, and wearing a red t-shirt underneath a light-colored button-up shirt and blue jeans.
