Uber: Expect higher prices on New Year’s Eve

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — New Year’s Eve is the busiest night of the year for Uber.

The ride-sharing company expects this year will be no exception. But Uber wants to make sure customers understand that surge pricing will be in place.

That means the higher demand, the higher the cost of the ride.

Uber said on its app you can get a fare estimate before you call a car.

To avoid the highest fares, Uber said head out early or call for a ride after midnight.
