SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two teenage boys were shot in San Francisco’s Mission District near an elementary school early Thursday morning, according to police.

Police arrived at 1:39 a.m. after reports of shots fired near the intersection of 25th and Utah streets close to Bryant Elementary School.

Officers found two 17-year-old boys on the sidewalk suffering gunshot wounds, according to San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza.

One teen took a bullet to the arm and the other suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the front and back of his arms and torso, Esparza said.

The teens were taken to San Francisco General Hospital.  Both are expected to survive.

The suspect has not yet been identified and no arrests have been made, police said.
